asix - a product of
ASKOM - is a PC software for visualization and monitoring of industrial processes, technological lines, machines and devices, monitored and controlled by programmable controllers and other measurement and control systems.
asix belongs to
SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition System) software class and executes comprehensive functions of process data collection, processing and visualization, supervisory and direct control, alarm and event recording, data archiving, trend drawing, report generating, data analyses and making process data available within computer networks.
This software system has been created in close collaboration with practicing control engineers and is continuously developed and modified to match users' needs; it is not only a convenient and effective tool for control engineers, but also process data source for
MES (Manufacturing and Execution Systems) based on standard techniques. Available since 1995, it is a solution proven already in over 2200 system installations.

excellently fulfills requirements of both simple applications for
single workstations and very complex multi-terminal systems allowing
to serve entire manufacturing facility in one integrated
environment. On

asix
is a software system with extended functionality, as good as other
SCADA systems, or even better in many aspects, that include enhanced
reliability by "hot-redundancy" operation mode, application designer
built-in in every software licence, readiness to operate within
extended computer networks thanks to BRIDGE feature.
Those features are available simultaneously at the price, which
ensures our customers advantage over competitors - starting from
275,- EUR for license of operator station for 32 variables.
Scalability of licenses ensures creation of applications matching in
size - from local operator stations for a dozen of measurement
points to multistation network installations with thousands of
variables. There are licences available for 32, 64, 128, 256, 512,
1024, 4096 variables and with unlimited number of process variables
(limit:
232
variables). The
scalability allows to configure applications without excessive costs;
when required, one can upgrade to a license capable of higher
variables. Details are included in our
commercial information. The version update policy of
ASKOM
is profitable for the user and ensures access to always latest
solutions.
The system is ready, without additional costs, to build Interfaces
with PLC's of practically any worldwide manufacturers:

unavoidable for complex software, our customers can be sure not to
be left alone - like sometimes happens - until a new version will be
issued after a long time. Begin of 2002 we have launched a technical
support website, which continuously informs about

asix
cannot probably meet expectations of every user, that is why we stay
open for new ideas suggested by users. The development of the system
inspired by their comments and ideas brought, among other things, to
extension of trend, Internet and modem interface modules and
parameterizing the application from central database. asix is a
product of Poland, but uses worldwide information technologies and
standards. This is an open system compatible with standards of
Microsoft Windows and OPC foundation like DDE, OLE, TAPI, OPC. All
data categories of visualization system- current measurements,
archives, events - are available for other applications like Excel
spredsheet, Access database and others, within the same computer or
another network workstation.
